The concept of love languages is well-known on social media and gift-giving is an accepted part of that concept. But Alexander Sway proved that he's a top-tier boyfriend when he went the extra mile with his gift-giving by making his girlfriend a Birkin bag from scratch for her anniversary present. He recently shared videos on social media which went through the steps of how to make the bag and suffice it to say many were impressed. He started the video by sharing that his girlfriend always joked about wanting to have a Birkin bag. When he found that a Birkin bag could cost $100,000, (approximately Rs 82 lakhs), he decided to make one himself and gift that to his girlfriend. Unsurprisingly, his efforts were well-received online.
Alexander shared two videos where he split the process of making the bag into parts. In part one, he mentions how he purchased the leather from the local vendors and cut it into patterns, making rookie mistakes in the process. In the second part, he gradually turned to the formation of the bag and how he clipped and blended the patterns together. He also recorded his girlfriend's reaction to the bag when he finally gifted it to her, about a month after their anniversary.

Alexander's DIY videos received love and comments from many people.
One said, 'It's worth 10 times more than the original price because you made out of LOVE Priceless...,'.
Another user commented, 'Lol, these comments made me realize I don't want to know many of you lol, No shade. If someone made me a purse with their hands, I would cherish it forever!! It's the thought, the love, the labor. Good job sir. It may not be a 'insert perceived luxury brand here' but personally it would be my favorite. But to each their own I guess'
Not all the reactions were positive ofcourse. There was one which read, 'Ok but getting a Birkin is not about the bags itself. It's about the name, the experience, the status symbol, the exclusive invite, etc.'
But most were in agreement that Alexander's achievement deserved appreciation and well in this user's case, a tad more than that, 'Alex, this is incredible and wholesome. Are you single?'
